Rooms
An encounter of spaces
This is my space. My home. My place. – But where do we actually spend our lives? HELLA LUX asked people of all ages about their living spaces and favorite places, collecting stories, images, and sounds along the way. No matter how different these spaces and lives may be, in „ROOMS“ they come together, forming an architecture of sprawling narratives—connected by backstairs, open portals, or dark passageways.
Through light and sound collages, a theatrical space emerges—one that can be entered, inhabited, and shaped by the audience itself. Climb through the window to visit neighbors, take refuge in future spaces, sketch floor plans and erase them again. HELLA LUX explores the blueprints of our society, making community, solitude, and boundaries tangible. A new place takes shape—built and explored together.
HELLA LUX NOTES: Thanks to its modular design, this performance can easily be adapted to different locations - Feel free to contact us!

Audio-Based and the Technology Behind It: ROOMS collects original recordings from people of different age groups, each offering unique perspectives on space and home. These voices create an auditory architecture, which the audience can explore in a theatrical way. Like the performance "Wenn nicht jetzt dann gestern", ROOMS utilizes wireless headphone technology, allowing for playful strategies and flexible group dynamics. The format is adaptable for both indoor and outdoor spaces.
