Was für ein Universum tragen wir da eigentlich 24 Stunden, 7 Tage die Woche mit uns rum? Das Smartphone. Ein handliches Objekt, das mit Push-Benachrichtigungen, Klingelton und dem worldwideweb unsere ganze Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zieht. Wie viel Stunden, Tage, Monate verbringen wir damit, mit unseren Fingern über den viereckigen Bildschirm zu wischen? Was passiert, wenn wir folgender Frage nachgehen: Was verrät unsere Bildschirmzeit wirklich über uns?
HELLA LUX nutzt die Zeit, die wir im Dialog mit unserem Handy, und der Welt, die sich hinter dem Screen verbirgt, verbringen und bringt sie in ihrer neuesten Performance SCREEN TIME auf die Bühne. Voila! Die erste Performance, die Doomscrolling zum Gemeinschaftevent umdenkt. Die erste Show, in der dein Handy vielleicht auf laut bleiben kann.
Wer steht auf der Bühne? Samsung und Apple. Wer spricht? X, als es noch Twitter war, und Facebook, als es noch jung war. Wer singt? Spotify, Youtube und ein paar staubige Vines. Wo geht es lang? Von Tab zu Tab in TicToc Choreografien, von Reel zu Reel auf Instagram. Eine Performance, die sich eine exemplarische Tagesnutzung einer Smartphone-Userin anschaut und in der Prokrastination nach Schönheit Ausschau hält.

SCREEN TIME – A performance with a smartphone
What kind of universe do we actually carry around with us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? The smartphone. A handy object that draws our full attention with push notifications, ringtones and the worldwideweb. How many hours, days and months do we spend swiping our fingers across the square screen? What happens when we ask the following question: What does our screen time really reveal about us?
HELLA LUX uses the time we spend in dialogue with our cell phone and the world that lies behind the screen and brings it to the stage in their latest performance SCREEN TIME. Voila! The first performance that rethinks doomscrolling into a community event. The first show in which your cell phone can perhaps stay on loud. Who is on stage? Samsung and Apple. Who is speaking? X when it was still Twitter and Facebook when it was still young. Who is singing? Spotify, YouTube and a few dusty Vines. Where are we going? From tab to tab in TicToc choreographies. A performance that examines an exemplary daily use of a smartphone user and looks for beauty in procrastination.
